Paul has been driving Jet Boats for many years and is the real deal when it comes to being a real southern man.

When he isn't out having a great time with his customers on the Wairaurahiri river he can be found hunting or riding a Motorbike along side his wife Gwen.

Paul is the only Jet Boat operator on The Wairaurahiri River with a 100% safety record.

Sam Gawith (8000+ flying hours)

Sam Gawith has flying for Southern Lakes Helicopters from our Tuatapere base for approximately 2 years.

Before joining the company Sam flew for South West Helicopters and has extensive knowledge of the Southern Fiordland / South Coast region.  He has 19 years flying experience and has 8000+ flying hours.  Included in his flying experience is 8yrs servicing Tuatapere Hump Ridge track, 4 seasons in Alaska on drill rig support, extensive Dept of Conservation work & 8yrs Kakapo Recovery Operation support.

Hi there, my name is Murray Dowling and i have lived in Tuatapere for most of my life.

I am the owner/operator of Tuatapere Motels, Shooters Backpackers and Holiday Park and Highway 99 Cafe/Bar.

We have activities such as mini golf at our Backpackers and also an animal park.

Highway 99 Cafe/Bar is just across the Road from Tuatapere motels to enjoy dining and refreshments.
